Meta tags can prove to be useful especially when its done to specific pages in an intelligent approach. Find the secrets of optimization your website beyond meta tags magic.
1). Title tags
Keep your title short and rich with the most targeted keywords that you aim for optimization. Search engines place a high value on the title copy. So, make sure that you include key terms ordered by priority.
Avoid the common mistake of using the same title automatically for every page. This makes it difficult for search engines to assign unique value for each page. If you ever need to use your site name on the title for branding purpose, keep it as the last option.
2). Headline – H1 Tag
Using H1 tags for headlines helps to achieve the objective to indicate the importance of the text as well as easier way to format the heading. Double check your headlines to include important keywords or key phrases. Search engines gives high weight to the h1 heading tags.
c. First 250 characters of text
Search engines places a high value on the first 250 characters of the body text than the rest of the page. Ensure you have a good, keyword-rich copy within the first 250 characters and clean up the template generated codes, javascripts, etc.
One important point to consider is that the articles or the copy you write should be meaningful to the visitor as well. Keyword stuffing is a strict no-no.
